What is raw chocolate?

By Healing Guidance

Yes I have a sweet tooth and with withdrawing sugars for known health disorders in all of us, I wanted to know what is out there to heal and of course satisfy us. With health issues, any type of illness or wanting to have a good healthcare, keeping off anything made with processed sugars is vitally important for healing and health maintenance – see the reasons sugar damages. Just because we withdraw off sweet toxins – refined sugar & artificial sweeteners,- does not mean we miss out on a few treats –

Raw chocolate called Cacao, mixed with other ingredients is delicious and nutritious. Cacao is a type of tropical tree, part of the evergreen family that produces the world’s chocolate in raw form, before fat, sugar, and other sweeteners are added. You can buy Organic Cacao nibs and powder from all health stores and some food stores

Cacao trees only grow in tropical areas like South America and Mexico. That is where most of the Cacao comes from. Cacao can increase the level of serotonin your brain produces. We nibble on Organic Cacao Nibs (from a health store) with diced banana, which can raise your levels up, and tastes great.

If you’re not deficient in serotonin Cacao will give you a stimulating effect, making you happy. It also is loaded with essential minerals, they are magnesium, calcium, iron, zinc, copper, potassium and manganese. Cacao also has essential vitamins which are A, B1, B2, B3, C&E.

For something interesting, several hundred years ago Cacao Beans were a form of currency and was considered as valuable as coins.

Cacao is a great food and mixed with my recipes it makes a yummy drink, sauce for dessert, coconut fudge and more https://www.joannemaryrawlings.com/recipes/cglass

Joanne’s Tip – Place your glass in the fridge beforehand to get cool. Using frozen banana makes the drink even more creamy and thick.
